WHAT ARE THEY?
Electronic cards, contactless, for the loading of Transportation Tickets of the same type:
- Single Tickets and Pre-Paid
WHERE MAY THEY BE USED/LOADED?
They can be used to load a transport title of any Transport Operator who has contactless ticketing, since he´s empty, in case if isn´t uploaded with any Transportation ticket.
HOW MUCH IT COSTS?
The Viva Viagem card costs 0,50€.
If the client does want to reuse the Viva Viagem card, the amount paid (0,50€) will be returned if purchased on a Fertagus station and if it meets the following requirements:
- A return made in Fertagus within 5 days (from the date of purchase) at any Fertagus Ticket Office;
- Contain no loading;
- The Card is in good condition;
- The receipt/proof of purchase of the Fertagus card is presented.
WHAT IS THE VALIDITY OF THE CARD?
The Card is valid for the loading of tickets, within a period of one year, after acquisition. If you have tickets loaded on the card after its validity date, you can still use these tickets.
HOW TO USE THE CARD?
After loading the Viva Viagem card you should validate it whenever you want to travel on the validators at the Fertagus Stations or on Sulfertagus Bus, simply by passing the card over the validator, wait for the reading, followed by a beep / light and the consequent opening of the doors (at Stations), and then you can proceed. If the doors do not open, read the information transmitted by the validator.
CAN THE LOADED TITLES BE RETURNS?
A refund of Single and Pre-Paid tickets is made only when:
There are changes in normal the conditions of the service provided, with regard to the compliance of the timetables published or in case of a manifest error of an Operator who made the sale. In either case, the return request must be made at the Station where it was purchased, at a Fertagus Ticket Office or a Fertagus Agent, if the Fertagus Ticket Office is closed, within 30 minutes. For this purpose, you must show proof of purchase of the Single or Pre-Paid Ticket.
IF THE CARD STOPS WORKING, HOW TO RECOVER THE TICKETS?
After acquisition, the Viva Viagem card has a one year guarantee if stops working. It will be replaced, free of charge, with a new one, as long as there are no verified indications of improper use or maintenance, like for example: torn, wet, folded, etc.
The Transportation Tickets that the card contains will be transferred to a new one taking into account the trips already made, with the presentation of the proof of purchase being mandatory.
HOW TO CONSULT THE BALANCE ON THE CARD?
The consultation of the balance may be done at the following locations:
- Fertagus Ticket Offices;
- Automatic Vending Machines - insert the card into the slot intended for reading cards. The information will appear on the monitor of the machine;
- Validator - only if you´re going to travel. After validation, the monitor shows the card balance information or in case of malfunction, the respective reason. Never use the validators to consult balances, if it is not your intention to travel at the same moment, because it will deduct one trip.
IMPORTANT RECOMMENDATIONS:
- Do not throw the card away, it is reusable;
- It is mandatory to always have, with the card, the proof of purchase of Transportation ticket;
- Do not subject the card to high temperatures, do not wet, bend or tear;
- When you load or validate a ticket, do not use with other electronic transport cards, for example, near the Lisboa Viva card.
The Viva Viagem card can only be used, on the same trip, by one person, it cannot be used in groups, even when loaded with several units.
